Enhanced Physical Therapy Spaces Provide More Room for Hands-on Care

Brooks-TLC Hospital System, Inc. hosted open house events at its newly remodeled Physical Therapy departments at both the Brooks and TLC campuses. The enhanced PT spaces provide the opportunity to care for more patients and to improve the overall health care experience for those served.

Features of the new spaces include extra wide corridors for wheelchairs and walker assistive devices, bright airy therapy spaces to create a sense of openness, and separate family waiting areas to support patient privacy.

According to Judy Wach, Physical Therapy director, “The expanded spaces provide us with more room for hands-on care and the flow of activity is now more streamlined. The bright, airy space brings a renewed positive energy to the department and our patients.”

Brooks-TLC physical therapist treat a wide range of neurological / balance disorders, musculoskeletal issues, sports injuries, women’s health including pre/post pregnancy care and back/pelvic pain, as well as post-op rehabilitation.

Specialty areas include certified vestibular / balance assessment and treatment, return to sport functional testing and comprehensive Biodex report, and kinesio taping / manual therapy.
